Can I see the book before I pay?
Yes. After you add a photo, or design your child, we paint them and show you their book. You only pay if you love it.
Do I have to use a photo?
No. You can design your child instead: choose girl, boy or toddler, then their hair, hair colour, skin tone, eyes, freckles and glasses, and watch the picture change as you tap. What kind of photo works best?
A clear, well lit photo of your child looking at the camera, on their own. No sunglasses or hats. A photo from your phone is perfect.
Do you add new stories?
Yes. New stories are added every week, so there is always something new to read together. Story Club members get a new one every month, painted with their child.
Can brothers, sisters or the whole family be in a book?
Yes. Some of our stories star two or three children, and some have room for grown-ups, grandparents and even the family pet. Look for "Up to 3 children" or "Add your pet" on our Stories page. Every book costs the same, however many people are in it.
What happens to my photo?
We only use it to paint your book, and it is deleted automatically within 7 days. If you add a photo above your message, we keep it only until your book is printed and your digital book is made, then delete it.
How long does delivery take?

Our stories are written for children from about 2 to 7, and they are lovely to read aloud together.
How are the pictures made?
Each story is illustrated in our own watercolour style. Do you have books for difficult times?
Yes. On our Stories page you will find a few gentle books, kept apart from the others, for when a child has lost someone they love or is going through something hard. One of us checks every page by hand before it is sent, and printed books go by express delivery at no extra cost.
